On a cloudy November day I ventured to Kalambaka, to see the beautiful mountains of Meteora. What a sight is was indeed! Deep, prayerful silence filled the air…my heart was truly at home amongst these rocks.

After Christmas, one december, a group of friends and I ventured out into the wild Hasmas mountains of Romania. We took an unknown path through the forest and reached the plateau close to Piatra Singuratica (The Lonely Rock). The overladen pine trees greeted us with beautiful snow.

On a fair autumn day me and my parents climb the notorious Pietrosu peak, from Rodnei mountains. At the foot of the steep, grey rock, however, one can find peaceful fields with haystacks resting in the sunlight.

This cauldron of rock and water can be seen from mount Pietrosu in Rodnei mountains, Romania. It’s a difficult ascent, but so unusually beautiful once you brave the journey.

Nothing reminds me of home more than the beauty of flowers, watching majectically over the still valley. Summers are for the mountains and our family mountain is definetly Ceahlau, the stone giant, whose view can be seen for miles from many corners of Moldova and Transylvania.

When I smell pine cones, I am transported to my young years in the village of Buhalnita. I spent many a days as a child wandering through the bright and cool pine tree forests of the Carpathian mountains. A wise man once said “If you don’t have grandparents in the country side, you should buy some.”

It was a sunny day in May when me and my Shortbread friends (that’s our group name) went on a photo walk to Clevedon, near Bristol. This is a peak of the pier in Clevedon, overlooking the eternally blue ocean.

As we were waiting for sunset over Mary River, Kakadu National Park, Australia, the trees had a look in the water.

Whitehaven beach in Queensland, Australia is close to Paradise. The water is so clear and the sting rays are so friendly. The sand is white, made of quartz particles and sits on these shores like a pearl in the light.

After sleeping at Dochia cottage, in Ceahlau mountain, Romania, we feast our eyes on a most spectacular display of mist and colour.

Autumn at the end of October on the hills around Piatra-Neamt, Romania is an abundance of colours. The tall trees look like they are dressed in uniforms, ready for the battle with winter.

This beautiful beech forest covered in snow was witnessed in Pasul Bucin, in my beloved Romania. It didn’t even take a fancy camera to capture the atmosphere.

It was a freezing day at the 12 Apostles in Calimani, Romania. Me and a few other photographers ventured in this place to grasp a thread of silence and beauty. This lonely tree was overladen with snow, similarly to how people are overladen with worries.

The sheep have left their sheepfold in Calimani mountains for the winter. They will return in spring, when the grass is fresh with morning dew.
